Motorway speeder Arron Norman avoids driving ban to keep scaffolding business running

A LANGLEY motorist caught speeding on a motorway evaded a ban from the roads to keep his scaffolding business running.

Arron Norman (34), of St Francis Road, pleaded guilty to having driven at 99mph on the 70mph M27 westbound, between junctions five and four at Eastleigh, on 5th March 2023.

Southampton magistrates did not disqualify Norman after hearing two self-employed workers and an apprentice depended on the business running at current capacity.

Six penalty points were placed on his driving record, and he was fined £640 and told to pay another £366 in court charges.
