The Drift Inn pub at Beaulieu launches Summer Sounds Series combining great food and lively entertainment
WITH a new head chef at the helm, a Beaulieu pub has launched special family-friendly events combining great food, lively entertainment and the 99p Whippy ice cream.
Every Friday between 4pm and 10pm throughout the season, The Drift Inn will host its free Summer Sounds Series, with local artists taking centre stage from 6pm.
Chef Ian Gibbs will be serving up traditional pub fare, including burgers, fish and chips and pie and mash - there is even a dog menu for four-legged guests.
“Ian brings fresh energy and culinary expertise to the pub,” said a spokesperson for the New Forest Collection, which runs the Drift along with various hotels across the national park including Burley Manor and Forest Lodge in Lyndhurst.
“Known for his innovative approach to traditional pub fare, chef Gibbs is expected to elevate the menu while maintaining the Drift’s rustic charm.
“Diners can indulge in delicious offerings from the pub menu, including the famous Drift Burger, while enjoying the musical performances.
“And in a nod to nostalgia, the New Forest Collection has also reintroduced the beloved Whippy ice cream at a mere 99p, sure to be a hit with young and old alike.”
With open Forest on its doorstep, the Drift boasts a spacious garden and a dedicated children’s play area, making it an ideal summer destination for families.
