The 40-year-old, who lives in Lymington, said: ““I started shooting at Sway in 1996 when I was 12. This will be my third time shooting for England and have shot for Hampshire for the past 16 years.”

He will be part of the recurve shooters, aiming at a standard 122cm target gtom 70 metres. An initial ranking round will be followed by team and mixed pair head-to-heads.

A Sway Bowmen spokesperson said the selection was an “an incredible achievement”.
