Dangerously driven car mounts pavements and nearly hits pedestrians on Southbourne Road in Pennington





Pedestrians had a narrow escape as a dangerously driven car mounted pavements in the Pennington area.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward as they investigate the dramatic incident involving a black Peugeot 107, which took place on Saturday.

Reports had been received between midday and 3pm after the vehicle’s erratic driving was seen around the village.

It was said to have nearly collided with pedestrians when it mounted the pavement on Southbourne Road.

Two people were reportedly inside the car at the time of the incidents.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We want to hear from anyone who was in the area on Saturday afternoon and may have seen the vehicle.

“Perhaps you were also driving and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, or you may have seen the driver or passenger and be able to help identify them.”
