Hundred Watt Club to bring its burlesque dancing show to New Milton’s Forest Arts

GLAMOUR and giggles will collide when the popular Hundred Watt Club burlesque dancing show returns to New Milton’s Forest Arts.

Established in 2010, Hundred Watt Club is regarded as one of the nations longest-running and most highly esteemed burlesque and cabaret shows. Glamorous and glorious, they light up the stage, with each act lovingly handpicked by artist and producer Lena Lenman, meaning that no two shows are the same.

Audiences are invited to expect the unexpected, but gear up for a good old-fashioned, risqué and ridiculous evening of entertainment.

Appearing at Forest Arts on Friday 13th September at 7.30pm, the organisers are set to deliver another glittering and fabulous evening of showgirls, vaudeville and comedy.

Based in Surrey, Hundred Watt Club produce theatre shows, club nights and pop-up shows, as well as themed life-drawing events and workshops. Show producer Lena is an award-winning, multi-faceted burlesque and vaudeville artist who is hailed for her chameleonic nature, performing everything from character comedy to flirtatious, charismatic striptease.

Earlier in the day at 2pm, fans of the show have an opportunity to join a fun and relaxed workshop focused on boosting body confidence. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the art of the tease with the burlesque moguls of the Hundred Watt Club.

The no pressure workshop will focus on building and expressing body confidence using classic techniques from the wonderful world of burlesque, such as the shimmy, the sashay and of course, the bump ’n’ grind!

The workshop will be led by feel-good showgirl Oola Pearl, who is known for being elegant and sexy. Oola will be on hand to share her onstage secrets and guide attendees through the session, helping to reveal the sparkle within.

Tickets to the 2pm workshop are £20, with show tickets £16 in advance. For more information and bookings, visit www.forest-arts.co.uk or call the box office on 01425 612393.
