Ghost the Musical starring comedian Les Dennis arrives at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre next week

BASED on the smash hit movie, Ghost the Musical will be on stage at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre next week.

The timeless love story began life as an Oscar-winning film before transferring to the stage in 2011, when it opened at Manchester Opera House before a run in the West End and then Broadway.

Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Bruce Joel Rubin, Ghost The Musical follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death.

The bond of love transcends the boundaries of life itself to grow stronger and more fully realised. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death.

The poignant romance also delivers comedy, suspense, and deeply felt emotion leading to an ethereal climax.

The movie Ghost was one of cinema’s biggest all-time hits. Starring the late Patrick Swayze alongside Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg, it was the highest grossing film of 1990 and won an Oscar for screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin.

The international smash hit musical also features The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody, alongside many more terrific songs co-written by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.

Ghost the Musical stars Rebekah Lowings as Molly, Josh St. Clair as Sam, and Jacqui Dubois as Oda Mae Brown, with the legendary actor and comedian Les Dennis as hospital ghost and Lionel Ferguson.

Ghost The Musical is at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre from 10th to 14th September. Tickets are priced from £19.50. For more information and bookings, visit www.bournemouthpavilion.co.uk or contact the box office on 0300 500 0595.
