BREATHTAKING magic and a whole heap of pandemonium are set to collide as The Worst Witch arrives at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre next Wednesday for a spellbinding show.
Years before Harry Potter’s world of wizardry became a best-selling book, an ordinary girl called Mildred Hubble found herself in an extraordinary place: a school for witches.
Now in her final year, accident prone Mildred and her fellow pupils are about to embark on their most dramatic adventure to date.
As always the spiteful Ethel Hallow is out to spoil Mildred’s fun and their teacher Miss Hardbroom is opposed to all fun in general.
Just as Mildred creates some inevitable mayhem which is sure to upset them both, an old enemy returns with a plan for revenge that could threaten not just the academy, but the whole world.
Featuring all of Jill Murphy’s beloved characters, this original story was written for the stage by Emma Reeves and is directed by Theresa Heskins.
Fans of The Worst Witch young and old will enjoy the blend of original music, breath-taking magic and Mildred’s ability to create utter chaos!
The Worst Witch is at Southampton Mayflower from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th March. Tickets are £15 to £24.50.
