POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a sterilising machine and equipment worth £11,000 was stolen from a New Forest dental practice.

Raiders targeted Waterside Dental Practice in Hythe overnight 21st and 22nd July, with CCTV showing two people running towards the business at 11.52pm, and then fleeing the premises at 12.27am.

The sterilising machine is worth about £1,000, with the remaining gear valued at £10,000.

Hampshire police said, following their enquiries, they were now turning to the public for help.

In a statement, the force said: “Did you see anything? Perhaps you saw someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time?

“This machine is highly unique so if you’ve been offered this item or have any information relating to the burglary, we would ask that you call police.”

Those with information should call the police on 101, quoting 44200272896, or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
