As a result of the vandalism, the classrooms sustained severe water damage from heavy rain that fell over the weekend.

In a Facebook post which has since been removed, a school spokesperson hit out at the intruders, saying the damage amounted to around £9,000.

They also said the incident would have a detrimental effect on technology students.

Hampshire police investigating the incident are urging people to come forward if they witnessed any suspicious activity around the time it took place.

A force spokesperson said yesterday (Tuesday) that no arrests had yet been made.

The A&T contacted the school but staff declined to comment.
