A 15-year-old girl was arrested after the stabbing of a teenage boy in Christchurch last night.
Police found the 16-year-old victim with a facial injury when they responded to a call-out reporting a person had been stabbed shortly before 10pm in Stour Way.
The youth was taken by ambulance to hospital, but a force spokesperson said his injuries were not thought to have been life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers at the scene detained a 15-year-old girl from Bournemouth on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. She has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Both the suspect and the victim were known to each other, said police.
A cordon was put in place at Stour Way’s junction with River Way as detectives launched their investigation. It was later lifted once the scene had been examined.
