Sway Bowmen shot their American-themed shoot with Team Florida, of Carole Rawlings, David Rawlings, Nick Phillips and Alistair Reeves, emerging victorious

Sway Bowmen set the scene for their American-themed shoot with the raising of the stars and stripes, accompanied by a soundtrack of country music, complemented by very British tea and cake.

Shot in teams of four with a mix of gender and bow type, each team member shot 7.5 dozen arrows split between 60, 50 and 40 yards. Handicaps were applied, and team members were then ranked. The first three ranked archers then contributed their scores for the three distances to determine a final number.

Given the complexities of the format, the competitors were unsure what would be counted, so everyone relaxed and enjoyed the usual inter-team jesting and chatting in the sun.
