Southampton FC legend Matt Le Tissier helps Brokenhurst Manor fundraiser for Lymington Hospital

SOUTHAMPTON FC legend Matt Le Tissier helped Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club raise £4,500 for Lymington Hospital.

Brokenhurst Manor men’s and women’s captains Chris Wiles and Mary Hayter hosted a charity auction with Saints legend Le Tissier as guest speaker at the club.

Over a packed dinner, Matt gave an entertaining talk to 80 club members. He covered his time in football from when he first left Guernsey as a teenager to his career of over 400 appearances for Southampton, ending with his last-minute winning goal in their final league game at The Dell.

Wiles and Hayter said: “Thanks to Matt for inspiring our members to bid generously, the evening raised an amazing £4,500.

“This was a marvellous start to our captains’ charity year for Lymington Hospital Friends’ Colonoscopy Appeal, and we are looking forward to more social fundraising events for the hospital.”
