Karate star Carla Rudkin-Guillen performs well at the Junior European Karate Championships in Georgia

NEW Milton’s Carla Rudkin-Guillen continued her international martial arts journey after a strong showing at the Junior European Karate Championships in Georgia.

The 2022 Commonwealth Karate Championships gold medallist competed for England in the junior kata section for 16 to 17-year-olds.

After a series of three exciting rounds that tested her abilities, Rudkin-Guillen secured an impressive ninth place in the highly competitive ranks of European competitors.

The Brockenhurst College student deserves extra credit for her strong showing after being struck by the passing of her brother, Luke Rudkin, months before the championship.
