Bramshott Hill Golf Club’s women played for the annual Spring Cup, which saw many golfers supporting the section on both the 18-hole and nine-hole courses.
Although it was a slightly dull start to the day, there was no wind and some good golf was played at the Dibden Golf Centre, run by MyTime Active. Playing in pairs, the format was Greensomes, with the best drive being chosen and alternate shots being played until the ball was holed.
In the 18-hole competition, Sue Lewis and Caroline Beech came first with a nett 69. Second place went to Jackie Howells and Cathy Davis, nett 71 on countback ahead of Miriam Eve and Marion Robinson.
Wendy Davies and Sammi Reynolds won the competition on the nine-hole course with a nett 27, with Pat Greenham and Maureen Webb coming second with nett 28.
The Spring Cup presentation was held in the clubhouse following the competition, where a large number of golfers stayed to celebrate the winners and talk about the golf, from the good shots to the bad.
