Bashley Football Club bid farewell to vice-captain Billy Lowes as he rejoins former boss at Poole Town

BASHLEY vice-captain Billy Lowes has opted to rejoin former boss Matt Tubbs at Poole Town, with the clubs already agreeing on a transfer fee and Lowes leaving.

The former Dorchester midfielder, an ever-present this season, had been skippering Bash in the absence through suspension, then injury, of Brad Morris.

Lowes, brought to the GlenMex Stadium by then-manager Paul Morris at the start of last season, made 48 appearances in 2022/23, scoring four goals.

His last appearance was last Saturday’s penalty shoot-out victory in the FA Trophy at Evesham, where he set up Bashley’s equalising goal before scoring his spot-kick during the dramatic climax.
