Wessex League Premier Division football: Millbrook hammer Brockenhurst
Wessex League Premier Division
Millbrook 5
Brockenhurst 1
The Badgers shipped four goals in 25 first-half minutes as Millbrook ran rampant at the weekend.
The second half was a more composed affair, but the damage was well and truly done in a blistering start by the home side.
The Dockers took the lead in the first minute as James White reacted quickest when Will Butler saved from Jack Francis.
Brock were level shortly after as Jake Adams headed past former Badgers keeper Amad Skrzyniarz.
Thirteen minutes later and Millbrook were ahead again, this time Ryan Fuller nodding home from close range after a corner.
The Dockers were head by two shortly afterwards, Tremayne Moore’s shot coming back off the post for White again to take advantage.
The home side’s fourth goal came from a defensive error by Tiago Moreno, his header back to Butler instead finding Jack Nicholas who made no mistake.
Millbrook spurned two good chances early in the second half, with White popping a Moore cross just wide.
But while the Badgers looked more solid in the second half, Millbrook had the last laugh, White grabbing his third after a fine cross from Callum Drake.
Brockenhurst are back in action tonight hosting Bournemouth, and on Saturday at home to Hamble.
