NEW FOREST Golf Club has opened its new state-of-the-art golf simulator to the general public and members.
The hi-tech addition was made possible by a substantial European Agricultural Leader grant, offers visitors the opportunity to play over 150,000 golf courses around the world including Augusta National, St Andrew’s and Pebble Beach.
The new facility is also used for golf lessons with PGA professional Michael Lord.
Mr Lord has been overwhelmed by the immediate impact the simulator has had on the club. He said: “We have been open eight weeks now and the response has been absolutely amazing.
“It is a completely new and modern development for New Forest Golf Club and the interest has been fantastic, we are delighted.”
Mr Lord added that non-members were welcome to use the simulator. He said: “We are a members club, but visitors are more than welcome to play at our new practice facility and we feel like it’s a good way of progressing into the future.
“We have had a great response in terms of retail sales and new members. Visitors are always welcome.”
For an individual session in the facility, 30 minutes costs £10 and an hour is £20 while a group up to four people is £15 for 30 minutes and £30 for an hour.
