HAVING performed to audiences in more than 50 countries across the world from Sydney to Seattle, the Simon and Garfunkel Story will be at Christchurch Regent Centre next month as part a UK tour.
With regular West End dates at the Lyric Theatre, the musical medley is the biggest and the most successful theatre show celebrating the lives and career of folk/rock sensations Simon and Garfunkel.
Featuring a full cast of talented West End actors and musicians, the show takes audiences back to the groovy times of the 1960s.
It tells the story of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel from their humble beginnings as the rock ’n’ roll duo Tom and Jerry, right through their massive success, dramatic break-up and finally the 1981 Central Park reformation concert.
Using a huge projection screen, the show features 1960s photos and film footage while a live band perform hits such as Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, and The Sound of Silence.
The Simon and Garfunkel Story will be in Christchurch on Friday 7th February at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £23 but we’ve teamed up with the Regent Centre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets by answering the question in this week’s leisure competition.
