CCTV: Hunt for raiders who stole cash from safe at Christchurch petrol station


Shell barrack roadPOLICE have released CCTV images in the hunt for raiders who snatched cash from a safe at a Christchurch petrol station.


Officers were alerted to the break-in at the Shell garage in Barrack Road when a patrol car was flagged down by a member of the public who told them the burglar alarm was going off, shortly before 10pm on Monday 1st February.

Access was reportedly gained to a safe at the premises before an undisclosed amount of money was removed.

People are being urged to come forward if they recognise the suspect shown in the image, or if they saw any suspicious activity around the time of the raid.

PC Billy Forster said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this burglary and we have obtained CCTV images of the suspect.

“His clothing is particularly distinctive and I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”
