POLICE have released a picture of a man they want to track down after an outboard motor was stolen in a raid on a Lymington garage.
A wooden door was forced to gain entry to the outbuilding in Solent Avenue sometime between 2.20am and 2.40am last Tuesday, before the offender escaped with the Mainer 3.3 motor.
People are being urged to come forward if they recognise the suspect or if have been offered such a motor for sale.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “We are appealing for your help to identify the man in this image, as we would like to speak with him in connection with a burglary at a residential property in Lymington.
“The incident, which occurred between 2.20am and 2.40am on Tuesday 10th November at a property on Solent Avenue, resulted in a wooden garage door being forced open and an outboard motor for a boat stolen.
“Do you recognise this man? Or perhaps you have been offered an outboard motor for sale?”
