TWO teenagers were arrested after a smash-and-grab raid on a New Forest vape store in the early hours of today (Wednesday).
The alarm was raised around 2am, with reports a burglary was in progress at the Original Vape Shop in Monmouth Court, off Southampton Road, Ringwood.
Four offenders were said to have gained entry through a smashed window before stealing a haul of items including vape machines.
Responding to the call-out, officers pursued a vehicle in the area which was believed to have been linked to the break-in.
Its occupants then fled on foot, but two were located and detained on suspicion of burglary.
The pair, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, both from Southampton, were also arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent following a burglary in Sway the previous night.
Both were still in custody later this morning as investigations into the raid continue.
In a social media posting about the incident, police said: “Our officers were called out at 2am to reports of a burglary in progress at The Original Vape Shop on Monmouth Court, Ringwood.
