Join us in running event for Macmillan Caring Locally say two young brothers taking part

TWO young brothers are in the running to raise money for the charity which funds the Macmillan hospice in Christchurch.

Jay and Grayson Wilson, from Christchurch, say they are hoping to inspire other youngsters to take part in Run Bournemouth on 12th to 13th October.

Their father Barry is media and events manager for Macmillan Caring Locally, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Jay (3), said: “I want to help my daddy’s charity raise lots of money to help people.”

His four-year-old brother Grayson: added: “We really want 48 more children because the charity is 50 this year.”

Barry said he is “extremely proud” of his sons for signing up to take part in the Kids Kilometre.

He said: “They have been down to watch the kids’ Run Bournemouth events before and loved the music and fun atmosphere. They are now asking our family and all their friends to sponsor them.”

“It would be fantastic to hear from other children who would like to run in one of our shirts and raise some much-needed funds for the hospice.

“The same goes for adults too. Our runners can take part for free, so, if you are thinking of taking part in any of Run Bournemouth events, please consider running for Macmillan Caring Locally.”
