Women arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after vehicle check in Totton

TWO women were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in Totton after a vehicle check early this morning (Friday).

Police carried out the check on a black Vauxhall car travelling along Eling Lane in the town “in the early hours”. The vehicle was uninsured and was followed to a nearby petrol station.

Officers spoke to the two occupants and a search was conducted, during which an amount of class A drugs, drug-related gear and a quantity of cash were found. The items and the car were seized.

The women, aged 34 and 39, both from from Dibden, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. The 39-year-old was also held over possession of a blade in a public place, and the 34-year-old a “sharp pointed article” in a public place.

A spokesman from Hampshire police said both remained in custody while police enquiries continued.
