LEARN MOREA WOMAN was given a suspended jail term for driving after consuming a "huge amount" of alcohol.
Catherine Barrett (65), of Ibsley Drove in Ibsley, was more than three times the legal drink limit when she was caught by police in Gorley Road, Ringwood.
She admitted the offence after initially pleading not guilty to Southampton magistrates, who said she had shown "complete disregard" of the law and others' safety.
As well as eight weeks' jail suspended for 12 months, she was banned for 30 months and ordered to undergo rehabilitation and pay £428 in court charges.
