Dibden woman Kirstie Cronin sentenced by Southampton magistrates for having banned XL Bully dog




A woman who admitted possessing an illegal fighting dog has been fined £120 by the courts.

Kirstie Cronin (33) of Manor Road, Dibden, was in charge of a male XL bully – a banned breed – named Buster in Southampton on 25th October 2024.

She pleaded guilty to one count of possessing / having custody of a fighting dog, contrary to the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Cronin was ordered to pay court charges of £133, in addition to the fine, as well as £640 compensation to Hampshire police.

Unless exemption can be proven within two months, the dog will be destroyed.
