Rehab order for Fawley woman Sophie Lennards who attacked three people and stole hundreds of pounds of goods and cash from stores
A FAWLEY woman has appeared in court after attacking three people and stealing hundreds of pounds in goods and cash from shops.
Sophie Lennards (37), of Churchfields, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating relating to two separate women in Hythe on 11th January.
She also changed a plea to guilty for assaulting a man by beating at Southampton on 28th May.
In addition to these offences, Lennards pleaded guilty to two thefts, one of which involved meat, alcohol and kitchenware valued at £512, from Sainsbury’s at Hedge End on 28th June.
The other saw cleaning products valued at £43 stolen from The Range at Southampton on 28th May.
Lennards also admitted another five theft offences, including stealing £183 in meat from Waitrose at Hythe on 30th May.
There was another theft from the Waitrose branch on 6th June, with £83 of meat stolen, £15 of goods and £9.20 cash stolen from Tesco at Hythe in two separate incidents, and £19 cash stolen from Sainsbury’s in Southampton.
Southampton magistrates handed Lennards an 18-month community order, including undergoing rehabilitation activities.
She was also told to pay a total of £309.57 in compensation.
