Christchurch woman (33) arrested for assisting offender after attack leaves Bournemouth man with life-threatening injuries
A CHRISTCHURCH woman has been arrested after an alleged assault in Bournemouth which has left a man with life-threatening injuries.
A 30-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm, with the 33-year-old local woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Dorset Police says it is believed that both people are known to the victim.
“There is no information to indicate that there is any wider risk to the public at this stage,” said the force, which is also appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“At 6.12pm on Saturday 18th November, Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service that a man had sustained injuries inside a private address in Westover Road.
“The victim – a man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“A cordon was put in place while an examination of the scene was carried out.”
Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, added: “We are continuing with our investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
“I am appealing for anyone with information who has not yet spoken with officers to please come forward.”
