SKIFFLE band the Dodge Brothers with be joined by acclaimed composer Neil Brand playing along to a screening of 1930 silent movie City Girl at the Regent Centre in Christchurch.
The band, which includes renowned BBC film critic Mark Kermode, became the first to accompany a silent film at Glastonbury Festival in 2014.
The Dodge Brothers will perform a special preview of the show at the Regent Centre on Sunday 9th February before the band embarks on a UK tour. It will finish with a Q&A session at the end of the evening.
City Girl is hailed as a lushly romantic drama directed by F.W. Murnau – one of the most celebrated figures of the silent film era.
Best-known for Nosferatu and Sunrise, City Girl was the last Hollywood film German-born Murnau directed before his death following a car crash in 1931.
Tickets are £16 each but we've teamed up with the Regent Centre to give away a pair to show by answering the question in this week’s leisure competition.
