Loose cow creates havoc on A35 at Totton




POLICE hoofed it to the A35 at Totton yesterday (Tuesday) after a cow got loose on the busy route.

The alarm was raised around 9.15am as the black and white animal was seen trotting along the dual carriageway in the Rushington area.

Some of the udderly astonished passers-by caught the stray on camera, with sightings also reported in Ashurst village.

Officers managed to help contain the cow within 50 minutes so it could be moo-ved to safety.

No details were available as to where exactly it had escaped from.
