Wanted man arrested after stopping to ask police a question on Salisbury Street in Fordingbridge
A WANTED man was arrested after stopping to ask police a question.
One of Fordingbridge’s local officers was approached by the man, who was driving, outside Tesco Express on Salisbury Street.
As well as being wanted for failing to appear in court, he did not have a driving licence. A Nissan Qashqai was also seized.
Local police posted online afterwards: “Male without driving licence and wanted on court failure-to-appear warrant, pulls over outside of Tesco this evening to ask one of Fordingbridge policing team on cycle patrol a question.
“Male now en route to Southampton custody for next available court, and vehicle seized at owner’s expense and recovered to pound.”
