Vandals target CCTV and railings in £3k wrecking spree at Portfield Community Hall in Christchurch




POLICE are hunting vandals who ripped away railings and wrecked a CCTV camera at a Christchurch community centre, causing £3,000 in damage.

The offenders targeted Portfield Community Hall in Portfield Road between around 5pm and 5.20pm on Wednesday 15th September, although details were only released by Dorset officers two weeks later.

Local officers said CCTV footage had captured youngsters climbing on the building’s roof and causing the damage.

No arrests have yet been made as investigations into the offence continue, a force spokesperson said.
