Roundhill campsite awarded ‘Best in South East’ and Hill Cottage Farm Camping scoops ‘Best Caravan Park in South East’ in campsite.co.uk competition

TWO New Forest campsites have scooped top awards in the campsites.co.uk ‘Best Of’ competition.

Roundhill has been named the ‘Best Campsite in the South East’, with judges praising its “traditional camping experience”, while Hill Cottage Farm Camping and Caravan Park in Alderholt, near Fordingbridge, was awarded the title ‘Best Caravan Park South East’ and was also runner up in the ‘Best Family Campsite South East’ category.

Judges said they liked the location of the Roundhill, five minutes from Brockenhurst and Beaulieu, saying it was ideal for “exploring this wonderful national park”.

Guests were also said to love the site.

Set in 40 acres of “glorious Dorset countryside”, the owners of Hill Cottage say it is a “lovely private, family-owned site designed with the comfort of the customer being a top priority”.

Aside from hard and grass pitches, guests also have the opportunity to stay in a “cosy” shepherd’s hut or “spacious and beautifully equipped lodges”.

An on-site dog walk takes you around the perimeter of three fields, which also goes past three fishing lakes.
