South Western Railway train passengers face travel disruption between Brockenhurst and Beaulieu Road stations after line blocked by tree

RAIL commuters are facing disruption this afternoon (Monday) after a tree blocked the line between two New Forest stations.

South Western Railway first announced all lines were blocked around 3.15pm, warning trains may be delayed or revised due to the blockage between Brockenhurst and Beaulieu Road.

All lines were reopened within 20 minutes, but the travel firm warned hold-ups were expected to continue until 6pm.

“Trains can now run normally through the area, but there may still be delays or revisions whilst normal service resumes,” a spokesperson said.

“For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
