Totton man John Noyce banned from keeping birds following animal neglect case




A TOTTON man charged with neglecting his birds has been forced to pay out £1,426.

John Noyce (66), of Riverside View, pleaded guilty to causing pain and suffering to eight chickens, two cockatiels and nine guinea fowl by failing to ensure their needs were met with regards to their environment, diet and body condition.

Southampton magistrates ordered the removal of the animals and banned him from keeping birds for five years.

The defendant was also fined £733 and ordered to pay £693 in court charges.
