HAULS of tools were stolen in a spate of raids on garages and vehicles in Walkford.

Local police issued a security warning in a Facebook post about the break-ins, which followed a similar recent string of offences.

Among the latest incidents were five garages targeted in Clinton Close on Monday or Tuesday. Tools were taken from one but nothing was believed to be missing from the others.

A vehicle parked in Bracken Way was targeted that night, and a wacker plate stolen.

The police Facebook post said: “Please ensure that all items of value are marked and kept securely.

“Please review your security arrangements and remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious behaviour or concerns to 101 or via the website www.dorset.police.uk
