THREE people have been arrested in connection with home burglaries in Lymington, Pennington and Milford.

Yesterday (Wednesday) morning, police searched addresses in Efford Way in Pennington, and Vaggs Lane in Hordle.

Two people were arrested at the Pennington property – a 53-year-old woman on suspicion of conspiring to commit burglary, and a 52-year-old man from Totton on suspicion of four burglaries.

One raid was reported to have taken place in Pennington on 2nd July, while there were three in Lymington – one on 17th November and another on 18th November.

The male arrested is also suspected of attempting to burgle a home in Milford on 20th November. Along with the woman, he has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

At another address in Totton, a 45-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of two burglaries – one reported in Pennington on 2nd July and another in Milford on 18th August.

He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

New Forest inspector and business crime lead, Darren Ord, said: “Officers continue to tackle those suspected of committing burglaries across the New Forest, but can only do so with the support and information from our communities.

“As our extra eyes and ears on the ground, please continue to let us know about suspicious activity in the area in which you live.

“The more information you share with us, the more we can develop this, and the more action we can take, including the execution of warrants and the targeting of criminals causing the most harm to our communities.”
