Three animals die in New Forest road accidents

LEARN MORETHREE animals died after being hit by drivers in the New Forest in the past five days.
Last Thursday at 5pm, a donkey was injured at Stoney Cross Road, near Lyndhurst, and had to be destroyed by an agister. That same day a calf was also hit but escaped injury at Godshill.
The next day at 4pm a black mare was injured between Stoney Cross and Fritham, and had to be put down.
On Sunday at 2.55am a bay mare was killed on Stoney Cross Road.
A pony was also reported to have been hit last Tuesday at Bull Hill, but the animal could not be found.
