Thieves target at least 12 vehicles in the Ringwood and Fordingbridge areas during one night
POLICE are probing a spate of thefts from vehicles that took place across the New Forest last Friday night.
At least 11 incidents took place between 11pm and 11.20pm, including vans broken into and number plates being stolen.
Most of the reported van break-ins happened on Picket Close and adjoining roads in Fordingbridge.
Witnesses and those with dash cam, doorbell camera or mobile phone video footage are being urged to come forward.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We’re also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a red sports car in the area of the thefts, as well as a dog walker and cyclist – seen on CCTV passing the suspects as they broke into a van in Fordingbridge.”
Officers also believe more victims are yet to come forward to add to the theft reports already received.
They want to hear from those whose vehicle was broken into or tampered with on that night.
