Teens arrested after Totton resident assaulted during burglary in Goldsmith Close

TWO teenagers have been arrested after a Totton homeowner was assaulted when he disturbed a burglary.

The resident found a male breaking into his shed at Goldsmith Close in the town early this morning (Monday), a spokesperson for Hampshire police said.

The offender assaulted the homeowner before running off.

A 19-year-old man from Southampton and a 16-year-old boy from Totton have been arrested on suspicion of non-dwelling burglary and common assault.

They are currently in police custody.
