Two teens arrested after 15-year-old boy attacked near Tesco Express in Fordingbridge

TWO teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was threatened and assaulted in Fordingbridge town centre.

Police are urging witnesses and those with dash cam footage to come forward as they investigate the attacks which took place between 1.30pm and 2.15pm yesterday (Tuesday).

The victim was reportedly first verbally threatened by a group of teenagers near a set of benches outside the Salvation Army building in Round Hill.

The same group was then said to have assaulted him outside Tesco Express in Salisbury Street.

He was then allegedly kicked and punched multiple times by them behind the clubhouse on Fordingbridge recreation ground.

Officers arrested two 16-year-old local boys on suspicion of assault before releasing them on conditional bail until 28th June.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “Police are continuing to carry out enquiries in the local area in relation to these incidents.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Perhaps you have dash cam footage.”
