Police appeal for witnesses after 16-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries in collision with car outside Brockenhurst College




A teenage boy was seriously hurt in a collision with a car in Brockenhurst.

The 16-year-old pedestrian suffered injuries to his pelvis, arm and collarbone in the accident involving a black Volkswagen Golf on Lyndhurst Road, outside Brockenhurst College.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened around 12.40pm on Monday 20th January.

A force spokesperson said: “Were you on Lyndhurst Road on Monday afternoon at around 12.40pm? Did you see the collision, the moments leading up to it, or the aftermath?

“Did you see a black Volkswagen Golf with the registration plate ending DLD in the area? Do you have dash cam that captured footage that may assist our enquiries?”

Police say the driver of the vehicle involved is helping them with enquiries, and that no arrests had been made.

The boy remains in hospital in a stable condition, and officers say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening “at the current time”.
