SWAY will be without a post office for 10 days from Thursday, as the outlet moves to a new location.

It is currently run by a temporary postmaster out of the Central convenience store, but the shop has ended its contract to run a post office from 5pm on 24th March.

A Post Office spokesperson said it was moving to a new base at the stationary and gifts store at Forest View, Station Road, which is currently empty and undergoing renovation.

The new shop is expected to open to customers from 9am on 4th April.

“The temporary postmaster will continue to operate Sway Post Office from the new shop, which will also specialise in local produce,” the spokesperson said.

“When the branch relocates, the opening hours will be the same as they are currently: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-1pm and 2-5pm.

“The same range of Post Office products and services will continue.”
