A SUSPECTED drugs dealer was arrested after police carried out a raid on a Hythe home in the early hours of the morning.

Officers swooped on the address in Knightstone Grange around 5.45am last Friday to execute a drugs warrant.

Following a search of the dwelling, they arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

He was later released under investigation as enquiries continued.

A post on the Waterside Police Twitter account said: “Male now released under investigation for being concerned in the supply of drugs, with full investigation of phones, finances and safeguarding of child to be undertaken with support of @sovereignha [Sovereign Housing Association] and @hantsconnect [Hampshire County Council] social services.”

The officers urged people to “rat on a rat” by reporting any people they suspect of being involved in drugs offences by calling them on 101.
