Sudden death of 65-year-old woman at Camden Hurst in Milford

PARAMEDICS and police rushed to a Milford apartment complex where a 65-year-old woman died suddenly yesterday (Monday) afternoon.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance was among the services sent after the alarm was raised around 3.40pm following the incident at Camden Hurst, off Pless Road, with the helicopter landing on the nearby Studland Common.

Described at the time as being in a life-threatening condition, the casualty was treated at the scene.

She was then taken by land ambulance to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital where her death was confirmed.

No further details about the incident were available, but Hampshire police confirmed the matter was not being treated as suspicious.

A force spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we were called to Camden Hurst off of Pless Road at 3.51pm on Monday 19th July following reports of a sudden death of a 65-year-old woman.

“Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this time.

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
