Atkinsons Action Horses confirmed for 2025 New Forest and Hampshire County Show
RENOWNED stunt horse riders are set to wow the crowds at this year’s New Forest Show.
Organisers have confirmed the appearance of Atkinsons Action Horses for a “jaw-dropping display” of acrobatic stunts and riding skills for the 2025 event.
Another highlight for this year’s show, taking place from 29th to 31st July, will be a daily grand parade of award-winning livestock, featuring some of the region’s finest animals.
A show spokesperson said: “With more than 85,000 visitors expected over the three days, the show is the perfect celebration of the best of the New Forest – exciting displays, thrilling competitions, and delicious local produce.
“Ben Atkinson and his talented team of riders and horses will take centre stage in the East Ring, and audiences can expect to see Atkinsons’ extraordinary horses gallop, leap and execute acrobatics that will leave spectators on the edge of their seats.
“Alongside the equine action in the Main Rings, the show will feature an exciting range of attractions, from the ever-popular countryside area and livestock competitions to a family fun area.”
Visitors to this year’s show can cheer on talented young riders taking part in the Pony Club Games as they compete in races featuring vaulting and galloping. There will also be axemen contests, blacksmith challenges, and vegetable and flower displays.
New Forest Agricultural Show Society chief executive Denis Dooley added: “This year’s show is set to be one of the most exciting and memorable yet, with something for the whole family to enjoy.
“I’m particularly excited to see Ben Atkinson and his team perform their incredible stunts and leave the crowds in awe.
“The show is coming together, and we have some exciting plans in the works that will make this year’s event even more memorable.”
As reported by the A&T, last year’s show enjoyed “glorious sunshine” attracting some 95,000 visitors and being hailed a “huge success” by organisers. The 2024 spectacle featured displays by the Bolddog FMX motorcylce team and the Motionhouse dance group.
