Specsavers Lymington donates high-vis jackets to 8th Brockenhurst Beavers




ALL eyes are on young Beavers in the New Forest following a donation of high-vis jackets by a Lymington opticians.

The 8th Brockenhurst Beaver group visited Specsavers to collect the vests and join in a series of in-store activities.

Store director optometrist Neil Constantine Smith and staff gave their young visitors a tour of the store and a session on eye health.

Beaver group leader Verity Johnson said: ‘The children absolutely loved it and so did the adults.

“It was clear how much effort had gone into making it a fun, engaging and informative experience, and we’re so grateful for the time, care and enthusiasm given.

“I’ve already received so many lovely messages from parents saying how much their children enjoyed it and how they spent ages excitedly sharing everything they’d done and learned.”

She added: “We’re also incredibly grateful for the high-vis jackets.

“These are so needed and will make a real difference when we’re out and about, helping to keep both children and adults visible and safe.”

Mr Constatine Smith said: “It was an absolute delight to host our local Beavers group. It was great to show them all about how our eyes work and hopefully they’ve understood how important it is to look after their sight.”
