Burley-based New Forest Shortbread launches snack packs in all eight flavours
NEW Forest Shortbread has launched snack packs for biscuit lovers on the go.
The handy minis are available in all eight flavours, and can be bought online or in local coffee shops.
Owner Tracy Thew, based in Burley, said the move was an “exciting opportunity for local food and beverage outlets and accommodation providers”.
She continued: “The snack packs, like the boxes of shortbread, are branded with Forest-themed illustrations – so for instance what visitors may see during a walk through the New Forest National Park.
“This is a perfect way to share knowledge and beauty of this special place, as well as giving customers the opportunity to experience the difference that is New Forest Shortbread before going on to buy a box.”
As reported in the A&T, New Forest Shortbread won a gold medal at the Great British Food Awards.
Tracy won the sweet biscuit category with her traditional bake, which judges described as the “perfect shortbread biscuit”.
Category judge Robert Gooch described the All Butter Original as having a “lovely buttery taste, with a great story on the packaging and homely feel to it”.
The panel stated: “If you are looking for the perfect shortbread biscuit that are just the right size for your mid-morning cuppa, make sure that New Forest are your first point of call.
“From the lovely packaging, which is recyclable and biodegradable, to the perfect number of biscuits, you will not be disappointed.
“It is not just the Scots that make good shortbread!”
The packs are priced £2.25 each, or £10 for five packets in a variety of flavours.
