A SHIP was detained by inspectors for two weeks at Hythe for a host of deficiencies.

The Adhara 1, operated by the Adhara One Ltd company, was impounded by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency during September.

It had 22 deficiencies and 10 grounds for detention, such as lacking evidence of a financial security relating to ship owner’s liability, its endorsement by its flagstate – St Kitts and Nevis – and incorrect records of seafarers’ daily hours of work or rest.
