Second 16-year-old arrested in Walkford murder investigation

A SECOND 16-year-old has been arrested over the death of 35-year-old Edward Reeve in Walkford.

Detectives launched a murder investigation following the discovery of Mr Reeve's body in Heath Road on Tuesday night.

Police confirmed early this morning (Friday) that a 16-year-old boy from Christchurch had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Now tonight officers confirmed a 16-year-old from Bournemouth was also being held on suspicion of murder.

The Christchurch teen is still helping police with enquiries.

Detective Inspector Simon Huxter, of the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigation Team, has appealed for the public's help: “I am appealing to anyone who knew Edward to please come forward as they may have important information to assist our investigation."

“Our appeal also still stands for residents and motorists in the area of Heath Road to please check any CCTV systems or dashcam footage from 1st January to 4th January and to report any suspicious activity they may have witnessed during this time period.
