Hazel Wood Infant School in Totton closed after power cut




A NEW Forest school was forced to close this morning (Monday) due to a power cut.

Hazel Wood Infant School in Hazel Farm Road, Totton, said in a statement that it had closed to all students due to a lack of electricity.

The fault was reported at around 6am, and Scottish and Southern Electricity Network said it was due to a fault on its underground network.

The unplanned outage had affected “several local homes”, SSEN added, and engineers were aiming to restore the supply by 5pm.

Nearby West Totton Community Centre had also closed, it said in a Facebook post.
